My sister just set me up with this super cool website. I’m pumped about it but I’m brand new to the blogging world so stick with me until I get a handle on things. I’m supposed to write something to welcome you. Hello. I’m Amanda.
I guess you all want to know something about me… I look 16 even though I’m 27. I’m a mother of two so I look like I either got in trouble in high school or I’m the nanny. If the kids are acting up at the grocery store I start yelling… I’m just the NANNY!
My new obsession is Digital scrapbooking, but when I’m not doing that I prefer being out of doors… climbing, boarding, biking, swimming or on anything that moves fast and exposes you to sunlight.
If you are coming over from kerflop… I am not my sisters twin… we are like black and white in fact… my shoe size is only a 7 and she can waterski with her kickers. Oh wait, she doesn’t waterski, she sits on her bum in front of the mac. Overall, I love her but I’m glad we are in separate states (no offense, sis… but no one can get a word in edge wise when you are around.)
Ps. the snot thing is true

Nice to see you have arrived in the 21st century. Congrats on having your own domain.
Also, I shut up sometimes.

I love eating little marshmallows out of the bag too. Although at our house we call them yayayos (ya-YA-yos) because when child number 3 was 18 months old I found her siiting on the kitchen floor shoving them in her mouth. I asked her what she was eating and she said, “YaYAyos!” and held the bag proudly high in the air for she had ripped the bag open herself.
Welcome to the blogging world. I, um, need some digi-scrappin’ help. I’m so jealous. Love your logo. My first attempt is my new background and header. But it’s a bit bland. I’ve always wanted your sisters help, but I never could afford her.
She’s awesome and I bet you are too.

Welcome! I just started digi scrapbooking just in November and LOVE it! Shabby Princess is awesome and your header is so cool.
I’ll have to remember the “I’m just the nanny” bit when my baby grows up. I’m a 15 year-old-looking 24 year-old. I get “looks” all the time, so thanks for the idea.

Welcome to the web.
(I also look young. My MIL tells me that it will be okay someday. I trust her. She’s 50 and looks… 35? Moisturizer.)

Congrats on the new site, you’ve gotten way good at Photoshop. Why is it that I got shafted in the artistic talent pool? Oh well, I’m still the tallest.

Elizabeth, I styled the template but my sis made her banner with scrapbook elements. Isn’t she amazing?
By kerflop on 03.16.07 9:01 pm | Permalink
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Exciting!!
Kismet- Digi Scrapping is done with a graphics program like photoshop or paintshop pro. You use “digital papers and elements” that can be purchased or downloaded from the internet and then you can make fun layouts with your digital photos on the computer. Gotta love this technology. I’ll get some digi links up here soon and also some of my layouts I’ve done.

Ryan, you could write code and script before you were potty trained – SO WHAT if the creative gene escaped you.
And Mandagirl, I know for a FACT that Jessica can do more than sit in front of the Mac. She can talk in her sleep and FART. She is truly amazing. I love her.
Welcome!

Someone has to stick up for the waterski sized footed women of the world. I think it just makes us smokin’ hot.
I am tactically retarded, so I am afraid there is no digital or actual scrapbooking of any kind in my sphere of activities, but I am glad there are people out there who can do that sort of thing. Historical documentation and all that.
So, do you and Kerfloppy have the same cute giggle??
Cheers, and love the site.

Welcome to blogging. The first one’s free, and then you’re hooked.
Seriously. I had this idea of writing one post a day, and here I am a year later with 450 posts.
Love LOVE the web design. So cute.

Thanks ya’ll
Loralee-Jess sure is one of a kind. I think when I spend a lot of time with her I’ll catch her mannerisms. I’ll start talking like her, demanding attention like her and that giggle pops up every now and then. Once in a blue moon when I’m telling a story or something elaborate I’ll think to my self, “gosh, I just sounds like jess.” Over all, genetics are pretty crazy… so similar but so different. eh?
Did I meet you at Lagon?
By Manda on 03.18.07 5:21 pm | Permalink
Mand, that was Lori you met at Lagoon. And hey, haven’t I gotten ANY better at demanding attention?
