Ahhh! So nice to be home.
I’ve been debating all morning if I should spend all afternoon updating you all on my adventures or if I should forget it all and get some rest… hummm…
I’ll give it a try.
If you remember, I was quite afraid of how Isaac was going to behave on the plane. In preparation I packed a ton of sugary snacks and Jeremy packed the whole toy box. He brought so many toys the flight attendance had to make a joke about it. I couldn’t stop laughing. Overall our preparation worked. I was surprised how well Isaac did on the way out and he was even awake most of the time. Jeremy insisted on sitting in the first row for some extra leg room and this way the kids hung out on the floor when they could. Our last leg back was the worst. We didn’t get the first row and the kids were tired and cranky. I just about lost it but Isaac finally fell asleep. When we finally got home, we’d been traveling 14 hours straight. Ahhhh… Serenity now!
The wedding festivities were lovely. It was a lot of fun to have Jer’s whole family together. They had all 6 kids in the temple at the same time. I think that is every parents dream come true. I spent most the day chasing Isaac around trying to keep his little suit somewhat clean. Half way through the day I just had to ditch my high heels. The little stinker even disappeared on us a few time. He was soo busy but oh so cute. Emma, of course, loved her purple flower girl dress. I wish I had pictures to show you but everyone else was taking so many I figured I’d just get copies.
After we recovered from the wedding events, everyone but the honeymooners got to go to the OuterBanks for the week. Our beach house was so nice and the weather was sooo pleasant. That’s the life I tell ya! We did nothing but hang out at the beach. We’d all been to the OBX before so we felt like we didn’t need to do all the touristy stuff.
I had a birthday while we were at the beach. (No, I still do not look a day over 18!! Curse!) Not much to write home about other than I got an external hard drive!!!!! Hurray, no more over loaded computer problems. I’m supper excited and wish I had some time scrap.
There was one event that did put a damper on things. It was my own stupidity. Some of my brother in laws were jumping off the deck into the pool. I thought I’d join them just for fun. It wasn’t really that high so I didn’t even think about it that much. I guess I should have because the five foot deep water did not slow my speed down to much. I hit the bottom of the pool like a rock. I slammed my heel on the concrete floor. I walked it off at first and didn’t say anything but the pain didn’t go away. I can’t put any weight on my heel. It is either badly bruised or I’ve fractured or compressed the bone. Anyhow, I’m a gimp and I hate it. So Stupid!! It’s more annoying than painful. I just hope it goes away soon. Running (or should I say gimpping) through the airport to catch our flight was so frustrating. My foot cramps up because I’m walking on it crooked. This morning I was trying to unpack and clean up the house and I just couldn’t! I had to sit down and rest. Lame-O!!
Other that that we had a great time. I’m actually leaving again tomorrow for the rest of the week. There really is no reason to unpack other than get the dirty clothes clean. We’re headed to a dude ranch with my family for a little reunion. Should be fun except Jer, my brother and my dad have to work so they’ll just drive up at night. Not much of a reunion more like a girls trip to the ranch. Anyway, I’m curious about the place. Should be fun (that is if I can get around okay.)
I think that is all for the update. Hope you all are having a lovely summer. I scanned my google reader and it looks like you all are having just as much fun as me. Later.

Glad you had fun! Ash and I were just wondering this morning if you were back…and now you’re off again! Maybe one day we can play again…we’re going to Disneyland next week! Hope your foot feels better so you can run around and have fun soon. And Happy (late) Birthday too!!!!!! XOXOXOXOXO
if you want i’ll piggy back you around like you did for me when i broke my ankle! Would you go to the Doctor you gimp!!!
I second Ash…couldn’t hurt to get it checked.
Don’t pull anymore pranks this summer. Boys should never be mimiced. They do silly stuff and will never admit it if it was stupid or hurt them in some way. They just chuckle on the inside knowing it hurt you too. Meanies.
I awarded you a blogging award!! Come on over and read about it.

Ooh, can’t wait for the update on the Dude Ranch, I’ve always wanted to visit one!
The OBX sound so nice this time of year! I’ve only seen pictures of my mom’s trips out there and it looks so pretty!
Sorry about the injury! Things like that are so freaking annoying, especially when you have to chase after little ones.
Your trip sounds great, though I don’t envy you the 14 hours of travel. I enjoy going places but the process of traveling is terrible. :S
