Live or die?

Where has my blogging mojo gone… Hello, where are you? Yea, I can’t find it. I’ve been debating all day whether I should post a vote…

Let the blog die or fight to keep it alive.

Yea, I don’t know. I might have a few interesting things to write but life has taken a really boring turn for now. I’m such an average person. Nothing to say or show for -that is any different from anyone else.

I’ve felt average my whole life. When I ran track I could never run faster then anyone. When I did spring board diving in high school I could never win any diving meets. I can’t do any really fancy scrapbooking. I don’t read any interesting books that allow for any interesting conversations. I don’t stand out in a crowd. I’m not especially funny. My kids don’t do anything super crazy. I can’t seem to get any better at rock climbing. And now I can’t seem to blog about anything that anyone would want to read about it.

Don’t worry, I’m not asking for your sympathies. I do like my self and am confident in who I am… I just don’t feel like blogging about my very average life right now.

Arggg….

As if you’d actually tell me “Yes, manda, you are boring! I vote Let ‘er die!

Blogs are all about the mundane and boring. It is nice to know others get mad at their husband, have trouble with their kids, eat a whole sleeve of chips ahoy, jump into a pool and hurt their heel. It is the day to day boring-ness that makes us all feel more normal.

Do it to ponder the ups and downs of your life and keep a record of life for your kids to enjoy one day. They may be a mom who treasures the thoughts of their own mom about all the day-to-day things of life.

    Blog on baby!

I’m with janjanmom, and not just because I begged you to start blogging. It’s true, it’s about the boring and the every single day. I love being able to check in on you here, BUT do whatchoo gotta do.

Would you be happier if I made this more of a photoblog for you? For just sharing scrapbook layouts? With a little blurb of text instead of a whole entry?

i think more people read it then you think but just don’t comment. i do mine mostly for myself and wes’ family that lives far away to catch up on the kids. Just post when something semi not boring happens in your life. I haven’t posted in a week cause we haven’t done anything.

You should write about your “cycle” more as that is always interesting reading.

Are you joking!?! You rock at the scrapbooking thing…especially to those who are super super novice like me. I’m with Kerflop, maybe if you just posted pages and wrote blurbs that would be cool…you are on my reader so i always read you, even though i may never comment.

Thanks for your words of encouragement everyone. I think I just need a little boost.

Gee, Mark, thats a great idea. It’s not so unfortunate that I don’t “cycle” too often but perhaps unfortunate that I do not have more “cycle” stories for you to enjoy.

I love reading your blog! Don’t give it up, how would I ever know what is going on in your life. Plus it makes me feel like we still live down the street from eachother.
And about you being average……hardly. No one believe her. She can catch on to just about anything on the first or second try. You are truly a jack of all trades. I think that is cool and much more well rounded.

  8. Keep it alive! I love reading about the adventures in your life…I find it makes me feel better to know that other moms out there are human too!

I’m late on the bandwagon (we finally have internet again!! Woo Hoo!) but here’s my 2 cents. Don’t worry about who is reading and if anybody is bored (although I doubt anyone is bored!!) because at the end of the day, think about why you’re really doing it and let that help you make the decision. If you’re doing it to kind of keep a record of what’s happening in your life right now, then for sure keep on going, and don’t put pressure on yourself to keep it entertaining or to even post regularly. I have to tell this to myself all the time!!! :) I’m just happy to have found a fun-ish way to jot down some memories because I stink at keeping a real journal!!!

Anyhoo, hope you’re doing well–now that I’m living closer to you we should see each other more often, right?? Talk to you lata!!

I think you are such a doll. If it’s any consolation to your “average” life…besides understanding and being right there with you…I always wanted to be just like you in high school. I thought you epitomized everything I wanted to be. Hopefully that makes you feel better. :)
