On New Years Day we thought we’d go for a little hike near our house. The weather was actually very pleasant and we found our little bundled bodies overheating in the piercing sunshine. The shade felt like it was at least 10-15 degrees cooler.
Isaac slept on my back on the way up. The way down was not so pleasant. He was pretty upset. I think he’s getting to the age that he wants to “hike” himself. Sigh… That means less miles covered for us. I wish Emma would hit that stage. We pretty much have to drag her along the whole way. I hope she appreciates it when she grows up but my motherly instincts tell me that she’d rather be shopping.
The snow was soooo beautiful. It was amazing that we could find such a beautiful secluded place just 10 min from our house. Ahhhh…. We found this cute little bridge perfect for a pic opportunity (except the branch in front of Jer’s face).
