Camera Craze

Yea! I found my USB cord so now I am going to super overload you with photos…

Maybe you have been anxiously waiting for me to find my cord because you have been dying to find out what I’ve done withe my hair or anxiously waiting to see how stink’n cute my kids were on Easter…

Or maybe you haven’t even noticed I was lacking photos or even thought to care… but none the less. It is time for me to present you with my Camera Craze Update…

We had a great trip to Idaho. I can’t seem to get enough of my big sister. I was surprised how much we looked alike in this photo.

I already mentioned about the cute neon frosted cookies we made at Jessica but I just couldn’t resist posting this pictures.

Jessica took us to an awesome antique store in Idaho. They had some big old immigrant chest that I really would love to have but they were just too much. I fell in love with these berry buckets from the 1900′s. I can just imagine some cute little dad carving and hammering these together for his wife to go out a pick a bucket full of berries. Each one was so different and I love looking at all the little details that make them unique.

Easter Day. For those of you who know and love my kids… aren’t they stink’n cute?

For those of you who read the Towel Terror, here is picture of the sea green towels that I thought were decent. I now know that toilet seat covers are totally OUT. I’m not so sure that I agree that the color is awful. What do you think?

Here is the final result of the basement bathroom. I think it turned out pretty good. I am in the pursuit of finding some art work for those empty frames but I liked having the darker frames on the wall instead of the white ones I previously had. Do you guys think it looks ok or should I buy a new shower curtain?

Isaac has been fighting me on naps lately. This boy wants to grow up too fast so this is what I have resorted to. I have had the door handles on for a while but Isaac has figured out how to pull them off. I tried tying them with the pink ribbon but that didn’t works so I’ve turned to the duct tape. I feel like a mean, awful mom but he needs his rest (not to mention my rest.) I’m pleased to say that he is currently fast asleep in his room right now.

I made this blog banner for my friend and I love it so much I had to share.

I’ve been playing basketball with the ladies in my church on Thursday nights. It’s been great exercise but I’m not so comfortable with playing actual games. Despite my nervousness we were able to win our regional games. Woo hoo.

So what you have all been waiting for…

I did get my hair cut but I chickened out about going shorter. I couldn’t go to my usual girl (another reason to just have a trim) but I need a trim badly so I spent a whole afternoon driving around trying to find a decent place to cut my hair. I finally found someone that would take me. I told her I just needed a trim… so that is basically what she did but at the last moment she decided to stack my hair in the back. I thought, “Kind of weird since I don’t have an A line but maybe it’ll be fine and look stylish.” When I came home and looked at the back of my head I realized she only stacked one layer worth. I have some super short layers and then the rest was long. I lived with it for a day and then called her to see if she’d fix it.

This is the second cut. Can you tell any difference? It’s a tad shorter. I told her to fix the layers and then watched in terror as she just started hacking away and I was like “NO no, not any shorter in the back. I just need you to blend it…” I don’t think she understood. The layers still seem so chunky to me. With my think wavy hair I need things to lay nice and flat when straight or else they’ll stick out funny when I go curly. If you are so totally interested, you can check out my previously nicely done hair cut here to compare.

Here is the doo done curly. Check out that weird shape… I think it looks square-ish. So I guess I have to live with this for a while. Do you guys like it or should I go shorter as soon as I have the next opportunity. I’m totally confused. I’m going to touch my highlights up next time too. I’m bummed. It’s pretty much what I had, but worse.

So We are off to California tomorrow. I need to pack. Jer has a business trip and we’re tagging along. Woo hoo. I’m so excited for the 70 degree weather.

Those berry buckets are so cool! And I love, love, love the haircut. So cute! I like it curly too.

  2. kerflop says:

Oy, the suspense was killin’ me.

I can see what you mean, those short layers with long underneath would drive me mad – though right now I’m long in front and short in back which I suppose is its own kind of special backwardness.

I think it’s adorable though, in the pictures! And super cute curly (J E A L O U S Y – for other commenters, I’m the only one in the family who didn’t get any curl in my hair!).

  3. Kerry says:

I love the dark brown towels…but I am sucker for Chocolate brown. It seems like they go together nice with the browns in the counter top. I think I might get a new shower curtain…but I think you should get one with a brown pattern, maybe not solid brown.

By the way, I think the haircut is CUTE!

  4. debbiegrandma says:

The kids ARE indeed stinkin’ cute!! xo

  5. debbiegrandma says:

PS – J says I’m conspicuously quiet about things I don’t like. I don’t know about that but well, so let me just say I like your cut, looks cute curly. I love the dark brown towels – but who’s surprised?

  6. Wendy says:

love the pictures, loved lunch today, love you!

  7. Carrie says:

The hair is SO cute – you shouldn’t be disappointed. The bathroom looks great too. I think a new shower curtain with a fun chocolate print could be super cute – something to give it some pizazz.

  8. Carrie says:

I really like the sea green towels – or maybe a super light steely blue…with white accents in the bathroom… I love it. However, the chocolate brown is very nice.

As for California, I did see you ask for suggestions a while ago…and I just thought I’d mention…though you probably know know this already, but just in case… Disneyland with only one adult might be a challenge since Emma would be able to go on many rides Isaac couldn’t. HAVE FUN! There are so many fun things to do down there!

  9. Myxi says:

I know what you mean about getting a good “stack”. I went to a hair cuttery shop and got up in the chair and when I told her I wanted it stacked, she said, “Oh, I don’t know how to do that!” I was so outta there…lol. I have thin hair though, but it is naturally curly and have the same issue when I wanna go curly. If that stack ain’t right, it doesn’t look right when it’s curly.

  10. macy says:

I had to laugh! Your door knob with the duct tape looks exactly like mine!! The little stinker learned how to pull the child lock thingy apart with her hands. Thank heavens for duct tape! It’s nice to know your kids are where you left them!
