Testosterone and Staples

June 5th, 2008 · 10 Comments

Is there anyone else out there who’s men are watching the LA/Celtic game tonight?? I should have planned a girls night out tonight. Dumm dee dum! There is way to much testosterone in this house!

I spent all afternoon trying to get some photos on my computer but to no avail. Something is up with my camera connections.

I have photos to share of Isaac’s head. Last night Jer called me and said “You better come home right now.”  I guess our dear sweet mongrel of a dog ran out the back door sweeping Isaac’s legs as he went. Isaac fell and popped open the back of his head on the stair or something. There are no eye witnesses but there was a ton of bleeding as a result.

I came home to hubby sitting on the couch with his head between his knees. He held things together until I got there but just telling be about the blood was enough to bring on the queasiness.

The end result -5 staples in the back of that round little head.

He’s fine. Already tearing up the house and wanting to ride his bike.

Now… what to do with my night?

Poor little guy! I’m glad he’s ok.

I’m also typing this as I hear the basketball commentators babble away in the family room.

I’ll just be glad when it is over. ;)

I am so sorry that your little one got hurt. That is always so scary.

Surprisingly enough, I can remain calm, cool and collected during emergencies. When everything is taken care off, then I can have the meltdown. :)

I have a 5 year old who is very active. He bounces off of the walls, climbs trees and then plops down, rides his bike and then takes his legs off and pulls them up for thrills…oh yeah, so very lucky he hasn’t landed in a hosp. yet with broken bones, etc.

Wishing your son a speedy recovery.

All I can say is, What’s next!?!? That little tyke of yours is only 2. He’s got a long way to go till adulthood. Best wishes!!! And glad he’s okay. About the basketball game - that’s my life around here, or I should say that’s Reas’ life around here. If it’s not basketball then it’s baseball or football and if those aren’t on, it’s the poker championship or something else completely ridiculous. And somehow through it all I continue to like the guy. Ugggghhhhh to ESPN.

Scary, but nothing can hold that cute little rugrat down, give my little buddy a kiss on the cheek for me….On the sports issue, you already know my sports fanatic! He can’t just be addicted to your ordinary sports(basketball, football, baseball, soccer) its anything that pops on that blasted channel of ESPN. The other night i walk in to him watching horse racing! So I made a rule for every hour of ESPN, 2 hours of HGTV! Fair enough right?!

I hate to say this but I was watching the game and enjoying it. Maybe I’ve been married too long. Poor little Isaac-what an owie (?how do you spell that?)

    Wait, where are the pictures?
The last quarter of the game Dave was asleep on the couch but I still watched it in case he woke up. And we DVR’d the Belmont, just in case history was made.

Sadly enough I feel for Jer! That queasiness is an inherited sickness that I could do without. Luckily giving birth has eased mine a bit, and when Mason knocked Kailey’s tooth in and a chunk off her lip with his head, Craig was around to help out. I remained calm and didn’t pass out, but immediately called him in for reinforcement. So what was Isaac doing while Jer was head between the knees? Glad the little is doing better.

To clarify, I was holding Isaac with a towel to his head when Amanda came home. Shortly after passing him over to Amanda is when I put my head between my legs.

Ummm…, I had to put my head between my knees just reading your post. Jeremy — you do us proud.

Poor Isaac!! How sad to think about staples in the back of that cute little head.

Scrapbook–always a good option. But blogging was a good choice too!
