Survived

August 2nd, 2008 · 5 Comments

I survived Girls Camp!! Yea! I’m pretty bushed though from those late night. It was pretty fun but I was super happy to get home, take a shower and sleep on a nice soft bed. Emma and Isaac barely seemed to miss me. Maybe I’ll take off more often. He he.

Once at camp we came back from some activities and I went to my bunk bed and low and behold all my stuff was missing. The girls had taken it all. I hollered and hooted giving them a good reaction and I knew which girls were responsible for it (they were late to flag ceremony that morning.)

I went into the other cabin looking for my stuff and there it was on the top bunk just like it should have been. I looked at the lower bunk and the leaders stuff under neigh me look right too. I was all of the sudden so confused. Had I been in the wrong cabin. I felt so lame. I had to walk back outside and see what cabin I was in… no, this wasn’t the cabin I had slept it. A few more seconds flashed by while I stood there totally confused. The girls were asking what was going on and why I had I been yelling those girls names.

I finally figured it out. They had switched out ALL the leaders stuff in both cabins. The prank wasn’t just on me… but I had given them the best reaction. The girls got such a hoot out of it that the rest of the camp was spent snatching and hiding my book (The Host) that I always had my nose in whenever there was downtime just to see more reactions. Needless to say I was tired of it by the end.

I’m glad to be home. I have one down week until we’re off again. This week should still be pretty busy though. Next in line is Emma’s birthday party. She turning 5 and has been planning it out all by her self. I want to make it as nice as I can but NO I am not building a stage for everyone to perform on.

We’re taking the princess route… surprise, surprise.

Oh girls camp…. Can’t say that I would ever want the “opportunity” to experience that again! You are a trooper! Thanks sis for the curry recipe, one of the missionaries, who is from Australia, said it was the best chicken he has ever head! Brother and Sister Fey might be in the running for best cooks of the ward!
