I’m not really in the mood to be blogging. It’s still hard to want to sit down at the computer. I’ve been taking naps while Isaac sleeps and it has been sooo lovely!
I’m feeling a wee bit better these days. I really mean a wee bit. My stomach and I have tried to find a happy medium. I keep it full– it stays somewhat content.
Emma’s first day at Kindergarten was successful. It was more like a meet your teacher kinda of day. Emma was happy that her teacher was nice… so, YEA! I hope it continues on such a positive note. She looked absolutely terrified when I dropped her off. It was pretty chaotic in that little classroom but when I picked her up she was loving. She was so excited to show me “criss cross applesauce” which was just a cool way to say “sit down and cross your legs.”
I’ve lost track of my half broken lame-O camera. I needed it this morning to take First Day of School Pictures so I had to snag a few with the cell phone. I’m certainly not getting the Best Mom Award this week. It’ll be such a disappointment when it comes time to scrapbook them. Perhaps I’ll take a picture when my camera turns up and pretend that it was the First Day. She wears a little uniform… so who will know, right?

Congrats to you and Emma on getting through the first day of kindergarten! Wish I was there to see her in her little uniform. Is it a private school? I’ve been known to take first day pictures later too. With so much going on, it’s not uncommon for me to forget the camera completely that first day. We start next week. A part of me is looking forward to the quiet that will come, but part of me is always sad to see my little ones off and under someone else’s care.

So I check back every once in a while because I’ve seen your awesome templates, and I read this post and I just had to comment. I’m actually a Kindergarten teacher and “Criss Cross Applesauce” is the politically correct way to say sit “Indian Style.” Growing up we always said Indian Style but you can’t say that anymore, hence the Criss Cross Applesauce. Just thought I’d add that.

You’re a great mom!!! don’t let not having the camera or feeling crappy stop you from thinking your the BEST mom for your little ones!!!!!
And hey the photo can be from the first week…seems like she’ll be MORE excited to go to school the next day and the next b/c it gets more and more fun!!! So when you do get a pict her smile will be bigger than it would have been the first day
