Nothing is as constant as change.
I voted today. I’m quite proud of myself because I woke up this morning thinking that I wasn’t going to. The activities of the day turned out to give me the perfect opportunity. I’m not well informed in the topic of politics and generally avoided the subject but I feel quite strongly about this election. I scares me actually. I am afraid of change.
I find comfort in this quote by Thomas S. Monson, “Despite the changes which come into our lives and with gratitude in our hearts, may we fill our days—as much as we can—with those things which matter most. May we cherish those we hold dear and express our love to them in word and in deed… Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows.”

On a Halloween note… I was too busy running around to get any cute pictures of the kids. We had to force Isaac to get his costume on and keep it on. He wasn’t a very happy lion but as soon as he realized people were handing out candy, he hopped on his bike and took off as quick as a flash to the other houses. He wanted to strip it off his costume as soon as he walked in the door though. I managed to get these once the kids had returned from trick or treating.
Emma was thrilled to be a Ariel. This is her trying her hardest to flip her feet like fins. So funny. She is still singing the Ariel song, “Ah ah ahhhh!”
To be honest, I’m happy the holiday is over. One more thing off the check list.

The lion and Ariel are darling! So cute!

I heard she stayed in character all night trick or treating…singing at every door step.

I’m scared about it, too. Like mother, like daughter I guess. Good quote. Love those kiddies in their costumes. Actually, I love them all the time!

That is one adorable lion (who’s responsible for the face paint? impressive) and one beautiful mermaid.
