Belly Shot & Fridge Bling

36 weeks

I was telling my sis how big I felt the other day and she said it was time for a new belly shot on the ol’ internet. Now that I’ve taken the pic and compared it to the one I did in Jan., I’m a little embarrassed to tell you how large and uncomfortable I’m getting. You may not be able to tell the difference in the pictures except for in the sleeves and hair due. I still have a month left but already feel a bit done.

magnets

I thought I’d share my latest project with you. I made these darling little magnets from Something Blue Studios and they were so fun to get in the mail. Jer asked me how much time in the day have I spent standing in front of the fridge staring at them and rearranging them. Ha. When you buy them, they come with a little digital template for making the circles how ever you want. You then send the images to the store owner and she puts them together for you and mails them. Fun, eh?

Pardon the dust

Hi, this is Manda’s sister Jessica posting. I’ve been working on Mandagirl.com tonight, putting up some new graphics Manda made and futzing with a new template. But it’s not done yet, and my little baby won’t tolerate any more computer time tonight. What I’m saying in a round about, sleep deprived way, is that things might look a bit funny on your monitor (especially those of you using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox… haven’t checked Safari or others yet) until I can get things all sorted.

Hold your shift key down and hit refresh if you don’t see the new layout.

Laters Mandagirl fans,
Jessica

Just because

I just threw together another template. Unfortunately I don’t have anything I feel like scrapbooking so I don’t have an example for you but I know it will be great for some special event with lots of photos. If you don’t like the flowers just delete and add some other element.

Enjoy here.

Winter Getaway

Okay, so here is what we’ve been up to in order to fight the winter blues. We went to Park City for a night and a day. Luckily Jer’s boss hooked up with a sweet pad right at the resort. You can even see our window in this picture. It was supper nice! I could watch Jer and Emma skiing right out the window (because I obviously couldn’t join them on the slopes due to my enlarging waste line.)

Emma loved it. She is a timid little skier but was able to master the “pizza wedge.” Jer doesn’t really even know how to ski but did a great job at teaching her. She was pleased as punch with herself and lasted a lot longer than we thought. I think it helped that the weather was gorgeous! We all came home with pink sun kissed cheeks.

Isaac was anxious to join them and didn’t want to hang out in the room with me. He’s turned into a little daddy’s boy and I’m chopped liver, especially if he is missing out on fun. So we bundled up (you should have seen me trying to fit into my snow pants!) and went out to try the Alpine Coaster they have there. It’s this little roller coast type thing that zips down the hill through the trees. It was such a blast. Isaac wanted to go full throttle down the mountain. I don’t think this kid has any fear. We then went out on the slopes to watch Emma and snap a few photos. While we waited for Em to come down, Isaac entertained himself by running up the hill and then rolling down. Crazy kid!

2.20.09 013

We let Isaac have a turn on the skis. It only lasted for one run though because Isaac understands nothing about safety or speed. He tucked his little body down, pointed his skis straight down the slope and took off. Jer could hardly keep up with him. I was terrified watching but luckily he was stopped by some orange meshy gate thing and then he was done. Next time we’ll have to get one of those harnesses so we can steer him like a horse.

We had such a great time but everyone involved was completely bushed by the time we got home. Hopefully we’ll get to do it again next year.

Winter Months

Sometimes it feels like Jan and Feb are going to last forever. I think they must be the most boring months of the year. My kids have watched more TV than ever. I can’t think of much to entertain them these days… and when I do I’d rather not do it. I have to ask myself, do I really want to take Isaac anywhere? Do I really want to make a creative mess in my house that requires any cleaning up? The answer is usually NO so thus it feels like we’ve hardly done a thing lately. Besides, it’s been to cold to go outside and I’m sick of figuring out how to wrap my pregnant body is a regularly sized coat or jacket. I feel and look ridiculous.

Add these boring months to the last leg of my pregnancy and it equals pure insane mundaness. (Is that a word?)  I think I’m about to go crazy.

I am all caught up in my scrapbooking and there really is only one reason… I haven’t taken ANY photos. Literally, I have nothing to scrapbook. It is either because we haven’t done a darn thing worth snapping a picture for or my camera has been out of batteries. Gosh, do you really want to see photos of my kids laying around in their jammies all day watching TV. Really, I’ve thought about documenting it but do I want everyone to know what a lazy mom I’ve been lately?

So luckily Jeremy has come to a rescue and has planned a great adventure for us. I may even have some photos from it! Stay tuned.

Be Mine

Happy Valentines everyone. If you know me, you know I’m not much of a holiday person but I really did try my best this year. Emma gets excited for every stink’n holiday and so I made sure to get her a little something. She wanted to deck out the house in hearts and xo’s but I had to stop the madness somewhere.

Jer wrote me a little poem and I just had to laugh out loud!! I’ll share some of it with you so you can know what a crack up my man can be (This is only part of it, I took out the personal parts. I think he’ll appreciate that.)

You’re what I always think about with my little brain.
You’re patient and kind even when life is insane.
You’re good to me even when I’m a pain.

You’re a great mom even though there is no monetary gain.
You’re willing to fix things since I can only unclog the drain.
You’re a great cook and even learning how to use grain.

Ha ha. I think it’s funny and yes, the rhyming stayed the same through out the whole poem.

I did manage to make Jer this brag book from thedailydigi.com. It turned out pretty cute.

Template #30

I think you guys will like this one. It’s great for lots of photos and has a simple layout. On the template itself, I left the border line un-deleted underneath the small text words. That way you can type in your own words and delete what is not needed, using the marquee tool. Download here.

Appointments

Life has been feeling a little crazy for me lately. At least, I’ve had enough on the calendar to feel crazy. Ahhhh! It’s all these APPOINTMENTS!! It seems that between me and Isaac, we have had enough appointments to last us forever.

Here are the usual’s:

-speech therapy
-prenatals
-chiropractor
-healthy living lifestyle class
-church meetings
-weekly scrapbooking group

Today I scheduled a few more.

-cardiologist for I’s heart murmur
-cranial facial team at childrens hospital to rule out clef palette
-further testing for I’s transition into early intervention preschool
-articulation tests

Ya, I’m feelin’ it. The days I don’t have anything going on are heaven sent.

Two months to go

Self portraitI’m feeling big.

I do not want to pick up any toys off of the floor. That would require bending over.

Acid reflux stinks super bad when all I want to do is go to sleep.

Restless legs stink even more.

Baby is still in a good postition.

My midwife is moving at the end of the month. I need to find another one.

I typically try not to count down but it’s hard to believe that I still have 2 months to go.

Template #29

I’ve been messing around with templates a lot lately so I have a few created that are ready to be shared with you. I’ll start with this one though. Download here.

Here is what I did with it.

mosaic template 2 copy

For second page I just flipped it horizontally and then cut up a couple middle squares so I could add more photos.
