Just a quick hi

We are still doing great. Leah has been my easiest baby so far. I know things could change at any minute but I’m counting my blessings while I have them. I’m feeling pretty well rested but want to make sure not to do to much too soon.

I did have one adventure though… Jer got some Wicked tickets from work. We debated and debated what to do with them. Do we take Leah, have a baby sitter?  I ended up going with Emma and Jer stayed home with Leah. She took a bottle of expressed milk great for him and by the time I got home I was bursting. Luckily she was a willing nurser. The show was great and it was nice to give myself a little night out. There is a reason they recommend the show for ages 8 and up though. Emma enjoyed the first half but was completely bushed and ready to go home by the second half. Glinda and her bubble machine only hold their magic until 10:00.

Check out these cute little shoes my sis made for Leah. Darling!

Glad you’re all doing well. Those shoes are adorable!

Nice job on the night out so soon after the birth. Good for you!

Hi Manda,
I just discovered your blog through your sisters. I am glad you finally had your little one and it sounds like your labor was a short one, I think that is definitely because that baby was ready. I do believe that when babies are really ready they come allot faster once labor begins. I wanted to share my due date stats with you. Believe it or not I had all of my 4 kids either on their due dates or one day before that date. I always said it was because I could tell you the exact day I conceived for each kid. My Husband worked offshore for 18 years, I ovulated like clock work and we just always knew when the bun was put in the oven. With my first the Dr told me I was due 12/6/93 which is also my hubby’s bday, so I said “oh I’ll never go on that day, they couldn’t possibly share a birthday”. Well guess what….born that day. With my second, he came one day before my actual due date. By the time we had the third I was pretty confident that she would come within a 3 day span of her due date….she came on her due date…..Number 4, on her due date as well. I always considered myself lucky not to have to experience going over my date….by the end of those 40 weeks you are so ready!!! I also like to let things progress naturally, I always say “no one stays pregnant forever”! Eventually the baby does come out. I have several friends who are either pregnant now are recently had babies and they have Dr’s who will induce at their request anywhere within 10 days of their dates….I just think that is crazy! Several have ended up with sections….and I believe the inducing before your body or that baby is ready is the reason for the sections…..Enjoy your new baby….sometimes I wish I had a baby…my baby is 8 now. I kind of miss those days, I miss nursing the most!

Glad you are feeling so well!

Hi Manda
You are and your husband are truely blessed! Enjoy each one of your precious kids – they are a blessing and a gift from God.

that sounds fun to get some time away. did you like Wicked? I haven’t seen it. Those shoes are super cute too.

Oh, she sure is a doll, literally she looks like a perfect little doll. How fun. Three is so incredibly trying and incredibly wonderful too! Aside from that yours are farther apart than mine so it will probably be more terrific than trying. Those shoes are darling! I made some awhile ago for little Lyla hopefully they still fit when she gets them. Glad to hear your doing great. You’ll have to tell us more about the birthing experience when you get a chance, I’m super interested. Love you. Talk to you soon.

Congratulations, she is such a precious baby, so sweet… Happy for your and your family!
And, the tiny shoes your sister made are so adorable!
