Halloween

We had a great Halloween. I just love a reason to have a party. There is nothing quite like a gathering with with people you love and eating lots of yummy food.

I can’t get enough of this costume of Leah’s. I snagged it off the clearance rack the day before Halloween and am so happy with it. I just wish I had more reasons to put her in it. Maybe I’ll just stick her in it for trips to the grocery store and tell inquiring strangers she insisted on wearing it.

Emma wanted to be Red Riding Hood because she loves the Usborne version of the tale in her Illustrated Fairy Tales book. I tried super hard to convince her to be Word Girl or Wonder Women because Isaac wanted to be Spiderman and I wanted a theme but it was to no avail. Here they are practicing their “trick or treat.”

Now that Halloween is over, we are performing an experiment to see how much candy a child can eat until they truly become sick to their stomach. So far there have been no changes in the kids health. There has, however, been an increased amount of “flips” performed on the couch cushions by Isaac.

Is a sugar high a real thing?

Couldn’t you convince Isaac to be the Big Bad Wolf? I tried to get my kids to do that, but no luck. You’d think the boys would love torturing their sisters since they like to without costumes!

That flower costume is too cute! My girl had the butterfly one just like it, and I too wished I had more reasons to put her in it. I reused the wings this year and she was a fairy, though.
Btw, science says there’s no such thing as a sugar high. :)
