Ugg, I feel like it’s been ages since I’ve sat down at the computer. I wish I had some awesome summer adventures to share with you but unfortunately I have been spending quite a bit of time sitting on my couch nursing my baby. I love the little guy but it’s getting old. We are half way through summer and I don’t have much to show for it.
Thumbs down to staycations!
This past weekend we did have a little family reunion but it was the kind where you go to a park, sit under the pavilion and eat a random assortment of potluck food. Every year we tend to sit in our own comfortable family groups and do very little mingling among our second cousins and great aunts and uncles. It’s sad but true.
Here are my cute grandparents giving loves to Sam. My grandpa is number 9 out of 10 children and this family reunion is for the posterity of all those kids.
That’s about the only photo I took. My sister was snapping some photos of the kiddos playing in the giant sandbox volleyball court as well as some of us and our closest cousin acting like super models. I hope to get copies soon.

And what about (all those September moons?) swimming with your sister and her kids and
bonfires (albeit smokey ones) and s’mores? And anticipated camping trips?? There’s a bit
more excitement than sitting on the couch watching the world go by!!! Your zest for life and
adventure is one of the things I love best about you!! Hope the summer improves somehow…

July 17, 2012 at 3:20 pm (310 days ago)I didn’t realize how tough a summer baby would be. I still can’t get in the water…so what do you do in 100 degree heat when you can’t get in the water…
