I just signed up at BlogHer.com to join their product review program. I haven’t ever done anything like this before so I’m pretty excited to try it out. With this program I’m able to choose which reviews I’m interested in doing so when I saw this one for Dove Body Wash. I jumped at the chance.
First of all, I’ve always been impressed with Dove for there efforts to use real women with real sizes and with real skin (ie. stretch marks) in there Campaign for Real Beauty as well as their efforts to build positive self-esteem in young girls and to help them reach their full potential. Being a mother of an 8 year old girl, I know how scary it is to raise a daughter in today’s world with all the pressures and anxieties that come with wanting to be as pretty and perfect as the latest super model. It’s refreshing that Dove has made these efforts, is it not?
So the folks at Dove sent me Dove® VisibleCareTM Softening Crème Body Wash. It’s one of three body washes in this revolutionary line from Dove. It’s designed to soften skin and dry spots. The unique formula contains NutriumMoisture technology. I didn’t know what that was so I looked it up and found that it is 100% natural moisturizers that absorb completely to nourish skin deep down. These moisturizers help improve skin’s look over time and they claim that you’ll visibly have more beautiful skin in just one week.
I live for shower time because it’s my time off from mom duties. I admit I usually stay in the shower as long as I possibly can, long enough to completely drain my hot water heater. Yes, I love it that much! I do have dry skin thanks to my inherited genetics as well as my long hot showers and I wondered if this body wash would really do the trick.
So I tried the Dove body wash out for a week. I would squirt a little bit of wash on my pink pouf sponge and I’d scrub by whole body clean with all those lovely luxurious bubbles focusing on rough spots like elbows and feet. The lather would rinse off clean and leave a subtle white floral gourmand fragrance behind that was perfectly pleasant and not too potent.

Even after one use I noticed that my skin did feel softer and I didn’t need to use as much lotion. The softness even lasted throughout the day too. In fact sitting here typing this, my skin feels nice and soft after a full day of trudging around in 90+ degree weather. And ya know, with my skin feeling clean and soft, that is going to help me feel more beautiful, more comfortable and more put together throughout the day.
