Today is our 10 year anniversary. It has been a wonderful 10 years for us and I look forward to many, many more. I had no idea that being married and having a family would be so great. In fact, I would wax eloquent with words and tell how much I love and adore my dear sweet husband but for some reason the words wont flow and I lack the desire to put such tender feeling out on the world wide web but I will say I am soooo happy. It’s been such a happy 10 years. I would never change a thing and I would never want to marry another living soul.
I am, however, jealous of how darling, cute and fashionable weddings are these days. But hey, I got married way before Pinterest was around. Last night I attended a cousins wedding reception and was blow away with all the darling-ness. She had cute vintage couches, a glowing chandelier, old doors and headboards adorning the backyard reception. It was so stylish and beautiful.
One major difference in weddings these day is that photographers are no longer cheesy and unpolished. 10 years ago digital cameras were not on the scene and our wedding photos came from good old fashion film. I’m almost embarrassed to show these off. We weren’t very happy with the photographers choice of poises. We felt awkward and silly the whole time. At least Jeremy refused to do the “toyota jump for joy” shot.
Our engagement photos were even worse. We just walked out to the back yard with a point and shoot and said cheese. Literally. Yikes. These make me a bit nauseated to look at.
I think we must have been babies back then. What on earth were we thinking! We, hopefully are a little older and wiser these days. We have even aged a little bit. In this picture from our honeymoon, Jeremy looks a bit like a adolescent boy. Hah.
I woke up to some beautiful flowers this morning.
While flipping through my wedding scrapbook I noticed that this bouquet is the same colors I had at my wedding. I don’t think Jeremy did it on purpose. Just luck.

Our engagement and wedding pictures are completely boring too, and I definitely have those same jealous feelings toward the brides of today. Seriously can’t believe how much the quality has improved in such a short time. Anyway, happy day to you both!

I think we all look like babies in our wedding pictures. And honestly, I’m really glad the cute, cute weddings weren’t ‘in’ back then, our weddings were simple, easy, & cheap!

The creativity of the photographers knows no bounds…but the best develop, ment (punny) is ownership of all photos by the
bride and groom
