Labor Day

Hello, hello! I have finally made some headway on my blog improvements. I have a new layout that I love and is easy to work with. My shop is finally working properly and coming together. I still don’t have all my templates loaded up for purchasing but I’m working on it slowly. I planning on making some new products soon.

Take a looksy around.

Also on my homepage, I can’t decided if I like having excerpt summaries of my posts or the full post showing. I’ve noticed my page loads a whole lot faster with the summaries. Are the summaries annoying or not? Opinions? (fyi- feeds will still show the whole post. Summaries there, I think, are annoying.)

Anyhoo!

We had a fun little family day on Labor Day. We headed up to drive the Alpine Loop which is one of the pretties and windy roads I know of. Emma got car sick and felt miserable until we stopped for a hike.

There was just a titch of fall color starting.

Labor Day hike to Stewart Falls. Everyone is pretty happy about except for Sam. Luckily he ended up sleeping most the way.

Check out Sam’s teensy tiny mad head. It looks so itty bitty and upset. I really liked packing him on my back in a rucksack type wrap. He wasn’t mad the whole time, I promise… he actually slept most the way.

Stewart Falls is one of our favorite family friendly hikes. The problem was that everyone else thinks that too. It was super crowded on the trail, being a holiday and all. I didn’t even snap a picture at the falls because there really wasn’t any room for a clean shot without other people in it. Looking back, I should have though, just for the memory of 50 some people enjoying the falls too.

Hooray! Look at what you can do when I’m totally unhelpful. SO sorry, and I’m super glad you’re up and running.

I don’t mind excerpts on the front page, but I do think you end up with less click-throughs.
